New Necklaces and New Model

Meet Maddy. She is Michelle's older daughter. Isn't she stunning?  She did such a great job modeling my necklaces! I was so excited when Michelle emailed them to me.  I will be making more necklaces when I return from vacation in April. If you see anything you like, just leave me a comment with your email address, or shoot me an email and I'll get back to you next month. Thanks!

Yo Gabba Gabba Inspired Necklace

I just HAD to post these cute picture of Miss Mika on her first birthday!  She had a Yo Gabba Gabba party and her mommy wanted me to design a necklace to go with her pink Foofa shirt.  This ADORABLE picture was taken by Michelle Photography.  Michelle was good enough to email me a sneak peak before my vacation. I am in LOVE with these pictures. Michelle and I have been best friends since we were freshman in high school. I was lucky enough to have her as my maid of honor AND my wedding photographer!  She does FABULOUS work!  She's located in Orange County, California, so if you live in the area, you NEED to book this girl for any occasion you might want to capture. She does it all!  I'll be sure to post the rest of the pictures she took for me once I get them.  Oh and P.S. her little girls are BOTH ADORABLE!  If any of you are looking for the cutest little models around for your clothing lines, hair accessories, etc. and need a photographer to photograph them, contact her and see if she'll do a trade :) Go check out her website now!

All Tagged and Ready to be Shipped :)

Most of my readers know that I've been getting ready all month for an upcoming Spring Boutique in California.  Unfortunately I personally won't be there, but my necklaces will be :)  I was asked to tag everything with my logo and price and think they turned out really cute! Thanks to my friend Amber who mailed me some more scallops, I was running out! The hole punch I have is a larger scallop and wouldn't have matched the ones I already started.  It feels so good to finally ship these off and to know I'll get to relax on the beach in Puerto Rico with my husband (who I haven't seen in a month) and my girls :)
I designed this necklace last night and it already sold. If you like it I can make more when I get back, just leave me a comment with your contact info.  Also, since I'll be on vacation, if you'd like to be on the back order list for the Matilda Jane House of Clouds Necklace, leave me a comment with your contact info. Thanks!

House of Clouds Inspired Necklace is now on backorder until April 14

Again, I REALLY want to thank EVERYONE who has emailed and inquired about this necklace! I am so so flattered :) I promise, I WILL be making more after I get back from my vacation, and my goal is have them out in time for Easter baskets.  I will also be sending Kate some more designs to photograph when I get back so you can see how they look with different outfits!  I know sometimes just seeing the necklace hanging on my wall doesn't do it justice. I just designed another new necklace to match the House of Clouds Collection. I have one available to ship out. Let me know!

New Design to go with the House of Clouds Collection

I am shocked and even more FLATTERED at the response I've gotten from the necklace I designed for Kate from Peekaboo Photos! Unfortunately, that exact necklace is now on back order until April 15.  However, today I came up with this design. This one is ready to be shipped off tomorrow :)  I am hoping to have the other necklace ready in time to fill your Easter baskets!  I have enough beads to make a couple of these, so let me know. HURRY, truly, they are going so fast it's CRAZY! Thank you, thank you, for all of your emails :) I really look forward to working with each and every one of you!

Matilda Jane House of Clouds Inspired Necklace

Kate from Peekaboo Photos just emailed this BEAUTIFUL picture of her daughter Mya modeling my necklace paired with a Matilda Jane dress from the House of Clouds Collection. Doesn't it match perfectly?  I've been looking through the rest of the collection and have come up with a few new designs.  I'm surprised how quickly these are going!  I think I'm going to sell out before my new shipment of beads comes in.  Most likely these will have to go on back order until the middle of April when I return from my vacation. I do have a few ready to be shipped out, so hurry, quick! Be one of the lucky ones to get these before the middle of April. The good news is that I'll be back before Easter so you should still be able to add them to your little girl's Easter basket :)

Peekaboo Photos Featuring My Necklace!

I have been a HUGE fan of Peekaboo Photos for a couple of years now.  Kate is an amazing photographer with the cutest outfits, props, and accessories around.  I am SO FLATTERED to be working with her!  She asked me to design this necklace to match the Matilda Jane Spring Collection.  Kate had a workshop this past weekend for photographers and used my necklaces :)  She was kind enough to get these to me quickly so I can use them on my table at the Spring Boutique. I'm so excited to see some of the rest.  I'm sure you all have been wondering what my necklaces look like on other children other than my own. Well here ya have it, SOOOOO CUTE huh?!

New Sundress for Puerto Rico

I'm trying to get ready for our trip back to Puerto Rico. Hayden has grown out of all her warm weather clothes, so I'm working on making sundresses for her. I'd like to make Mia some new ones too, because I know when we get back to Arizona in a month it'll be HOT.  I also just finished Hayden's St. Patrick's Day sundress that is made from the same fabric as Mia's. I'll have to take pics and post it later!

Spring Dress Made from Scrap Fabric

See this cute little girl?  She is the daughter of one of my customers. Her mom emailed me this picture and asked if I could make her a necklace to match this dress for her Easter basket. Her grandma made the dress.  I fell in love with it and decided to make my own version.  I have a lot of cute scrap fabric and this was the perfect way to put it to good use!  I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.  I made a side zipper so it would be easier to get on and off. I didn't have a pattern so I had to just figure things out as I began sewing. My serger made sewing this dress so quick and easy!  Some of my older readers might remember the jelly roll dress I made Mia last year. It was a big thorn in my side, but NOT this dress :) I love my serger, and I love this dress. Isn't it just perfect for Spring?!

Hello Spring!

Today has been the most beautiful day. We spent the afternoon at the park and soaked up the sun and warm weather. It was so cold last week.  Here is another necklace that will be at the boutique :)  I also made Hayden this orchid clip.  You can order it as a clip or headband. Clip is $10, elastic headband is $12. The necklace is $25.

Lined Swing Coat by Heidi and Finn

I finally finished!  I used gray fleece for the outer fabric and Amy Butler fabric for the lining. This is my first coat and first project I tried with lining. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. This pattern runs really big, so it still is big on Mia even though I made the size 3T-4T. Hopefully it'll fit her next year!

Ideas for Girl's Easter Basket

I've been brainstorming what I'm going to put in my girls' Easter baskets this year, and decided to make this cute purse for Mia.  I originally saw this purse on my friend Amber's blog Strawberry Owl Designs. I downloaded the free pattern from Made by Rae.  If you'd like to make one for yourself, or for your little girl head over there!  I just thought it would be perfect for Mia to throw her little princesses, snacks, crayon cozy, etc.   Crayon Cozys would be great for Easter baskets too :)
Don't ya just love that there is an inside pocket?
I designed this to match Matilda Jane's Spring Collection for Kate Moss from Peekaboo Photos.  I LOVE Kate's photography blog! She's got the most amazing accessories, props, etc. and of course shoots the most beautiful babies and children.  I'm so excited to be working with her.  I'm even more excited to see my necklaces in her beautiful photos! I'll post pics as soon as she sends them my way :)
