I LOVE Trading!

My friend Zura from Sew Retro Chic and I thought it would be fun to trade our handmade items a few months back. Isn't her wristlet the CUTEST? I LOVE the fabric, the shape, and everything about it. Zura makes so many cute things! It's been fun getting to know her. When I first saw this wristlet on her blog, I just knew I had to have it. She sent it all the way from Malaysia :) Thanks Zura!
I in return, made her beautiful little girl this white gerber daisy with pink swarovski crystals headband. It looks so cute with her new dress Zura just made. If you haven't already, you'll have to head over to Zura's blog to check out all her handmade creations.
In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE trading, so if you do too, let me know and maybe we can work something out :)

Remember This?

For some of my older readers, you may remember this onesie I embellished in December (I think). Anyway, I made it for my good friend Michelle's baby girl and she sent me pics :)
CUTE huh?! While you're at it go check out her photography blog! You will LOVE her pictures. She was my wedding photographer and has taken my maternity pics as well as portraits of Mia when she was a baby.

Hayden Modeling the Mustard Felt Flower

I just had to post SOMETHING! I know you all have seen this mustard flower, but I thought I would post a picture of Hayden wearing it-plus I just think this is a cute picture of her ;-) I made her a REALLY cute headband the other night that I need to post. My computer is still on the fritz so I'm limited as to uploading pics at the moment. I can't wait to share it with you. I'm going to call it The Fancy Nancy Headband. Stay tuned...

6 Years with My Sweetheart!

Today is our six year anniversary :) Luvah is in Tucson all week making rounds at the hospital, but made sure to call me early this morning before he went in to wish me a Happy Anniversary. He'll be coming home for the weekend. It will DEFINITELY be nice to see him! I think we'll celebrate next weekend after he takes his big exam.
Looking at my wedding pictures always makes me reminisce about one of the happiest days of my life. To me, my wedding day was perfect. Everything went just the way I wanted it. I felt so lucky to marry this handsome man and to know he would be mine forever.
I still love to hold his hand, and still love his kisses. He is also the most amazing Daddy to my two girls.
This picture makes me wish I were 24 again! I can't believe how much kids have aged me, LOL...they are worth every wrinkle (just for the record) ;-)
We got married in the San Diego Temple on September 10, 2004. To many wonderful years to come! On a different note, I'm almost moved into our house :) It looked so much better the second time I went over there and especially since we have some of our furniture set up. I bought my first new couch yesterday and LOVE it! Today I went to IKEA and think I found my new favorite store. I was able to find a dresser and some other fun furniture for our front room. Don't even get me started about how cute my sewing room is going to be once we're done painting it! My parents are both coming to town at the end of September and beginning of October to help me fix the place up and to paint the rooms. I'm most excited about my sewing room. Its got built in shelves, cabinets, and drawers. I'll have to take before and after pictures. The only thing I need now is a computer and life will be bliss again :)

Sewing Projects for Halloween

Since my computer has crashed again and most everything is still in boxes, I've been trying to think of something I can post about. I know posts without pictures are boring, but I've been brainstorming a few ideas in my head tonight and want some feedback. I was online shopping for fabric and started looking at all the cute Halloween fabric out there. Anyway I just kept adding more and more fabric to my cart, then realized it would probably be too much fabric to make dresses and trick or treat bags for my girls so I got to thinking...would any of you be interested in buying Halloween dresses or skirts for your little ones if I were to make extras? I'm also thinking about making little trick or treat totes. I thought I should check with you all before I go crazy ordering way to much Halloween fabric. The dress and skirt ideas I have dancing around in my head are really cute! I can't wait to make them for my girls to wear all month. Let me know what ya'll think! Thanks, I love to hear from my readers :)

Missing Puerto Rico

Well, we made it! Our flight got canceled due to Hurricane Earl, but we were able to fly to Arizona the next day. Things felt so crazy just before we left. We were trying to move out of our apartment, pack things up, and sell whatever didn't fit in our bins we were checking in. Just as I was about to vacuum and start doing the deep cleaning, the power went out due to the hurricane. My good friend Julia was there with her little boy to help me-thank goodness! Even though things were crazy for us, I think the kids had fun playing together in all the madness. My friend Amber took us in that night because we were already out of our apartment, but had to stand by to see when we would be able to get on the next flight. Both my girls kept us up all night, so we didn't get much rest. Just before landing in AZ, Mia had an accident in her sleep all over the seat-NICE-but luckily I was prepared with a dress and fresh panties in my diaper bag. It was just embarrassing! Now we're here, back in the States, and I feel a bit like a fish out of water. Is that weird? Most people are thrilled to be back. I'm really missing Puerto Rico...I miss my friends, our apartment, our pool, and of course the beach. We're kind of in a transitional state right now. Still living out of our bins, staying at my inlaws house, but getting ready to move into our new OLD house. Let me explain. The house is new for us, but is really OLD, probably built in the 50's. I'm still trying to picture myself living there, but it will only be for 9 months. Anything that is temporary is duable, right? That's what I keep telling myself anyway. The house DOES however have a craft room!!!! YAY!!! I can't wait to put it to good use :) It will be nice to get settled in, get our pictures hung, and make the place feel more like home. Do any of you live in AZ? I need some friends...
