My First Dress with Sleeves

I'm not sure why, but the thought of sewing sleeves on a dress used to intimidate me. WHY? Who knows because they aren't hard at all! And how fabulous is this Amy Butler fabric? You can't tell by the picture, but Mia really does love this dress ;-) I made another one today with flutter sleeves that I'll post once I try it on her. Heres to getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things! Cheers :)

Hi,

I know exactly what you mean, I had a real sleeve aversion, and funnily enough, I made a very similar dress to this as my first one with sleeves. Looks beautiful :) I love the fabric too

Goo job! Wow, I'm impressed, the thought of sleeves intimidates me too, granted I haven't really sewn much, but one day I'll have the energy and time to do it! She looks adorable! Where do you get your fabric?

I really like this one! (Funny, I didn't think I'd like a sleeved dress as much.) Really really cute, and you did a great job. Mia pulls it all together!

I just found your blog the other day on a linky. WOW!! This dress is fab. It looks very "boutiquey." Please tell me how long you've been sewing (as I'm new and need to know when I will reach this level of AwESoME!) and also if you used a pattern. Great job.

So cute and you did a great job! Love the fabric!

Will you be creating a tutorial for the other dress soon too? I got some fabric just like yours so I can make your apron dress!

Great dress and fabric. I know what you mean about being intimidated by sleeves. I get that way, too...sleeves, collars, zippers.
