I embellished the mermaid and neckline with pink rhinestones :) Rhinestones are the perfect touch to just about any project. Of course I had to make them into a flower for her hair! I also felt that her starfish necklace needed some bling. Just ignore the fact that my stitching around the mermaid isn't the best! She's really curvy so it was hard ;-)

Mermaid Gift Set Using Scraps from Mia's Dress
Cute huh?! I had some left over fabric from Mia's mermaid dress and put it to good use :) This gift set includes one burp cloth, a stuffwd giraffe, and a 3-6 month onesie with a mermaid applique. The giraffe has brown minky on the backside and tail. It did have a pink bow tied around her neck, but Mia pulled it off before I could get a picture of it.
Puerto Rican Sunset
So I just found this fun blog called I Should be Folding Laundry, and she gives weekly photography challenges. Since I'm a little late, I just decided to use a photo I took last year. The challenge is to capture the sky. I love this one, Puerto Rico has some really beautiful skies, this is just one of my many favorites. I hope to be involved in her weekly challenges! We'll see...

Baby Shower Gift Set
Remember this cute diaper caddy and burp cloth? Well, today I made this darling little stuffed giraffe to go with it. My good friend Amber from Strawberry Owl Designs drew up the pattern and gave me a copy. I'm in love! She is one talented Mama :) On the other side of the giraffe I used chenille as well as at the bottom of her tail. The green ribbon around her neck gives her just the right touch. Amber put a rattle on the inside of the one she made which I love. I didn't have a rattle so I left it out, but maybe I'll add one to the next one I make. I definitely think this stuffed giraffe adds so much to this sweet gift set. Thanks Amber for the pattern!

La Fleur Debris by: Heather Bailey
I bought the La Fleur Debris pattern from Heather Bailey over Christmas and finally got around to trying it out today. I didn't make mine quite as fancy as hers (I just used craft felt and didn't have dupiani silk or whatever fancy fabric she used for the yoyo). It turned out pretty cute anyway. I was able to use some of my scrap Amy Butler fabric in the center with a white flower button I already had in my collection. I think this flower would also be VERY cute as decor on a birthday gift. Hmmm...I just may have to do that on one of Mia's upcoming birthday gifts :)

Baby Shower Gift
A friend of mine is pregnant with her first girl, so I had to make her a sweet little sundress and matching burp cloth set. She isn't a huge fan of pink, so I chose this cute Heather Bailey fabric that is girly without being too pink. I think I just might have to make one for Hayden now!
The burp cloth on the bottom is the floral print on the dress (you can't really tell in this picture that there are two burp cloths).
I also threw in these cute little onesie candies. I rolled two onesies in each one. They make great gift fillers and make ordinary onesies look so cute!

Sister Sundresses and Felt Hair Flower
Remember this dress I made for Mia? It was the first sundress I ever made, and finally got around to making Haydey Baby one to match her big sister. Isn't it just the CUTEST? I had to take some 6 month portraits this morning of her wearing it. Enjoy! She also did a great job modeling my latest felt hair flower :)

Nice and Bright for Summer
The Orange Blossom Clip/Headband was a hit! I got a few requests for more colors. Aren't these YUMMY? Nice and bright for summer :) Miss Mia has informed me that she wants to have a mermaid party this year for her birthday, so I was thinking about making these for party favors. These remind me of the kind of flowers mermaids wear, and they look really cute with Mia's new mermaid dress I made her last week. Scroll down to see below :) If any of you are interested in ordering these for your little mermaids they're $10. Just leave me a comment with your contact info.

Orange Blossom Clip/Headband
I made this clip/headband last night and love the way it turned out! I was inspired by this photo shoot and all the DARLING hair accessories that Kate uses in her photos. Its funny because I looked up felt flowers on etsy and found some like these and actually went the extra step to order a few. I haven't even gotten them yet, but I already figured out how to do it myself so now I'm irritated that I spent the money, LOL. Oh well! I love that it works for both my girls too.

Michael Miller Mermaid Dress
Yay! Something new to post:) I can't even tell you how long Mia has been asking me to make her a dress out of this mermaid fabric. Last night around 11pm I actually decided to start it. Today I finished the straps and button holes. You can't really tell from the picture, but there are two button holes in the back that I criss crossed the straps through and then tied them into a square knot. I love that the straps are long enough to hang down in the back underneath the knot. Mia looks so darling in these colors-they just scream SUMMER! She loves mermaids and loves to swim, so this was a perfect fabric choice for her. Now I want to buy more of this fabric and use it to make some hoodie towels, burp cloths, and diaper caddies!

Felt Food
Here are just a few examples of some of the felt food I've recently made. I'm having a hard time for some reason uploading the other pictures, so these will have to do for now. I love the way these chocolate chip cookies turned out. They're so much cuter than the very first ones I made Mia for Christmas. I'm a big fan of stuffing them so they look more plump. I decided to make my chocolate chips round this time and hand embroider each one on instead of using a glue gun.
I LOVE the frosted donuts. They look good enough to eat! All the hand beading takes forever, but the final product is well worth it. I got the pattern from Skip to My Lou. I wish I could remember her link. It could be a dot com but I can't remember. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! I hope to get busy on a few things this weekend so I have some new things to post. I lost my watermark brush when my computer crashed so this one is temporary.

I hope I haven't lost all my readers!
I hate computer problems! I apologize for not posting anything new. I just ordered photoshop and hope it comes in the next few days. I can't put my watermark on anything without it. I feel out of touch with you all, and I'm sorry. I have big plans this summer for new projects. I have a few friends to have crafting/sewing days with, so as soon as I get my photoshop installed, I'll be posting some new things. In the mean time I will post some pictures from a photo shoot I had last week to give you SOME visual stimulation ;-) These too boys were so cute! To view more click here.
Oh, one more thing, I finally got my button on the sidebar working, so don't forget to grab one :) Hope to post some fun things this next week so keep checking back!
