I bought this fabric a few months ago and have been too afraid to cut into it. I've layed it out several times to see how I want it to look, and finally I decided to go for it! I couldn't be happier with the result :) I think this is my favorite dress I've made so far. I saw a little apron topusing these fabrics and just KNEW I had to make a similar dress for Mia. Mia loves butterflies so I wanted to showcase the butterfly fabric by using as a thick border. I may add the pom pom trim to the apron later, but for now I'm happy with the way it looks without it. I also might add a fabric rosette to the chest band. I'll be sure to take pictures if I change anything. I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of figured things out for myself as I cut into it. A lot of the apron dresses I've seen out there have an apron that is too narrow for my liking, so I wanted to make sure I made Mia's a little wider. You can't tell from the pictures, but the straps tie in knots on the top of her shoulders. I will also be making a smaller version of this dress for Miss Hayden. I'm just trying to figure out how to change up the fabric order so it's not identical to her big sister's. Didn't this dress work out perfectly for Mia's 4 year portraits? I couldn't be happier. Now the question is, do I create a tutorial for this dress??? Would love some feedback!
Well I just love it! So colorful and pretty! It suits Mia to a T! If you can figure out how to make one for big girls, it sure would make a cute pool/coverup dress!
I love this dress. Can you please tell me what fabric you used. And do you have a tutorial on this? I'd love to make this dress for my girls. Thanks, Cara

Welcome to MiaMoo Designs!
I'm Katie! Thanks for visiting my blog! I was inspired to create MiaMoo Designs in honor of my daughter, Mia. This has been such a fun journey! I started MiaMoo Designs 7 years ago and was mostly selling flower clips and burp cloths. I slowly began incorporating dresses, skirts and other hair accessories and turned this blog into more of a craft blog where I could post all my projects, tutorials, etc. I've been making chunky beaded necklaces for about 6 years and I think I finally found my niche! They have really taken off :) I LOVE beads and designing new necklaces to go with various clothing lines and special outfits for my clients. I really enjoy custom orders because they continue to help me think outside the box. Both my daughters 9yrs. and 6yrs. wear my necklaces and feel so glamorous especially with all the compliments they get from people when we're out! MiaMoo Designs necklaces are so unique and will make any little girl feel special. To order, leave me a comment at the bottom of the blog post you are interested in, or go to my big cartel shop to see what is already pre-made (link is at the top right of my blog). You can also find me on Facebook! Thanks! Can't wait to work with you :)
Just a Side Note:
I use swarovski crystals on my accessories--Please keep in mind they do not always photograph well due to the way they pick up light. In person they are VERY sparkly :) If you have any questions regarding the color of the rhinestones used please feel free to leave me a comment!
