We're Back in Business :)
So a few days ago my computer got a virus and wiped everything out! I have NO pictures from the boutique :( I couldn't recover them, but I was able to recover everything else (I think). I still haven't tried reinstalling my photoshop, so lets keep our fingers crossed that I won't have any problems with that! The boutique was a success, and was well worth all the time put in. I was surprised that none of the felt food sold, BUT-I was kind of hoping it wouldn't so I could add it to Miss Mia's collection. She was in HEAVEN! My friend Amber and I made a trade when the boutique was over of things that didn't sell. I was lucky enough to get one of her cute little girl aprons. I LOVE it and so does Mia! I will post a picture later. I will post ANYTHING when I get everything transfered from my external hard drive. Thanks to all of you who stop by my little blog each day. I love getting comments and hearing from you!

Wish Me Luck!
Today is THE day, the day of the boutique I've been preparing for! I just finished my last burp cloth and flower clips. I have worked so hard all month and I can't believe it's finally time to display everything I've made. I got a little ADHD with my projects since I get bored making just one thing, so my table will have a wide variety of things from my photography and flower clips, to diaper caddy/burp cloth gift sets, to mommy daughter matching bracelets and more! I'll be sure to post pictures of my table and of the evening :) Whatever doesn't sell I may post in case any of you are looking for fun baby shower/birthday gifts. I'm really curious to see how my felt food goes. If it doesn't sell I'll be more than happy to keep it for Mia ;-)

My Mom is having a great little giveaway on her blog! Two of the prizes are from yours truly, and two are from Rockin' Ronna Accessories. I just have to say that my mom's blog is one of my favorites, and is definitely one of my daily reads-not just because she's my mom, but because she's hilarious. She has this way of writing that is so clever. Be sure to visit her blog, add yourself as a follower and enter her oh so fun GIVEAWAY!

Thanks Everyone!
Thanks for all the input and comments. I like that you all feel comfortable to leave your true honest opinions :) When I was originally designing my new header I chose three pictures, but then I just couldn't stop, LOL! I think 3 looks more balanced. I thought it would be a good idea to include both my girls as well. Since I mostly sell hair accessories I thought having both a baby and a little girl modeling them would give people a better idea as to how they would look on different ages. Hope ya'll like this one better. I know they aren't edited the same, but I think it looks more balanced having the sepia toned picture in the middle of the two colored shots and having the girls together in the middle but by themselves on the side. Thanks again!

I Need Your Opinion!
Ok, so I need some feedback please :) I just updated my header because Mia is almost 4 and in my old header she was only 2. Time to update right? Now that I've updated, I'm wondering if I should have left it alone, or maybe I should change the pictures? Something is bothering me about this one, but it's late and I need to get to bed. I was trying to find pictures that show a variety of things I've made, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have Mia in everyone-however, she IS the face of MiaMoo Designs...I'd love to hear what ya'll think and I'll decide what to do later. Thanks for your help in advance!

Looking for a Baby Shower Gift?
This is one of the onesies I made for the boutique. Isn't it cute? I think I'll make one in a bigger size for Miss Hayden! (When the boutique is over that is). I hand painted the princess crown on with fabric paint using a stencil. I also added rhinestones along the neckline using hot fix rhinestones so they will stay on in the wash. Lastly I sewed the little tutu on the back using a gathering stitch. There is nothing cuter than little babies in princess tutu frill! This particular onesie is a NB size because I think every newborn deserves to have a fancy outfit to wear when they meet everyone for the first time, and usually 0-3 month sizes are HUGE on a newborn. I can make a bigger size per request.

Crayon Cozy
This morning while blog stalking, I came across Craft Chic Mommy's tutorial on how to make this CUTE crayon cozy. I've seen tutorials before, but hers is the cutest one I've seen so far using felt, and just had to try it! I'm in love :) I'm surprised at what a quick little project it was to make. It is the PERFECT size for a mommy to fit in her purse or diaper bag. Mia absolutely LOVES to color so this will be great to keep with me at all times. All day I've been day dreaming about all the possible colors and I ribbon I can use on the next ones...

MiaMoo Designs Personalized Tags/Labels!!!
I just got my new MiaMoo Designs tags in the mail and couldn't be happier! I ordered them from JennifersJewels' Etsy Shop. I think she did a fabulous job-Now my products are boutique ready :) I've been wanting to have tags for the diaper caddys and burp cloths I make for awhile, but didn't know where to get them made, and figured they would be really expensive. I'm so glad I found JennifersJewels! She only charges $12 for 30 tags. You can buy them in bulk as well, but I wanted to start with 30 and see how I liked them. I'll definitely be ordering more because I LOVE them.
I've been busy making these cute gift sets, and will post the rest another time. This fabric is from Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane line. I love these two fabrics together, don't you? I thought I would try a different kind of burp cloth than I typically make and use minky on the other side. My sister in law Christy made me some when Hayden was born only she used flannel and chenille and I LOVE them! Who else hates sewing with minky? Its so soft, and so cute, but difficult to sew with. I had to keep seam ripping while making it which I hate doing, but the final product turned out pretty stinkin cute. I think I need to take a break from these and go back to making some more felt food :) I can't wait to post everything when its all complete!

A Fun Craft to Keep Your Toddler Busy
I don't know about other moms out there, but I often feel guilty that our TV is on pretty much all day when we're not out and about. Mia is very artistic and loves working on projects whether it be painting (which is her favorite), baking, or playing with Play-Doh. The other day I busted out her Play-Doh and a baggy full of plastic rhinestones and told her to make me some cookies and to decorate them with rhinestone sprinkles. She was in HEAVEN! It kept her busy for quite awhile too, with the TV OFF! Success :) I gave her a plastic knife because she said she wanted to make hotdogs with sprinkles too, LOL, and wanted to be able to cut them...yes, the plate on the left is full of cut up hotdogs with sprinkles. She asked me to take out her tea party plates and kept bringing me plates of goodies out of Play-Doh. The nice part about getting your little one involved in working on their own projects, is that you can work on your own right next to them at your own table :) WIN WIN! Hope your little ones like this as much as Mia did! If any of you have other ideas for me please share! I'm trying to keep Mia busy throughout the day without watching so much TV.

A Dress For Reyna
One of my mom's co-workers has a little girl that will be turning 2 at the end of the month, so my mom asked if I'd make her a sundress. I love this fabric in person, but for some reason it's not looking as cute in the picture-but trust me, it's adorable in real life ;-) Mom, don't worry, hahaaha! I think the colors will look pretty on her since she has dark hair and dark eyes.
Does anyone else HATE doing straps? I do! It's not like they're hard, but I just hate doing them and procrastinate finishing dresses because of it, LOL. I've had the body of this dress done for over a week and I finally got around to making the straps tonight. I was just wondering if I'm the only one with this problem...

Happy Easter!
I hope you all have enjoyed your Easter! Mia and I made these cupcakes yesterday and delivered them today to some friends of ours that go to medical school with my husband. These two cute girls have been great babysitters for us while being here in Puerto Rico over these past 3 years, and Mia has really grown fond of them both.
My morning started out with Mia whispering in my ear that the Easter Bunny had come to fill her basket, so I got up to check it all out with her. She LOVED the fairy necklace (thanks Angie) and all the other goodies in her basket. After we enjoyed some Easter goodies, I thought it would be a good time to talk to Mia about why we really celebrate Easter. I showed her the movie Lamb of God and explained to her what was going on. I was so surprised that she sat still the whole time and really seemed interested. She's my little tender heart and felt sad when she saw that Jesus died for us and to see how they treated him. She kept saying, "Poor Jesus!" I explained that Jesus was resurrected and that is what we celebrate on Easter. It was really special to talk to her about it.
I planned to dye Easter eggs with her today and have a little Easter egg hunt, but the day filled up too quickly. I did dye eggs with her during the week and will post pictures of those tomorrow when I upload them to my computer. I'm too tired tonight, LOL! I made a really nice dinner this evening that tasted so good (to me anyway!). I made a pork roast with home made mashed potatoes, squash, salad, and cranberries. I wish I had taken pictures for proof! Anyway, I hate to ramble on-Enjoy the rest of your Easter Sunday!

The Easter Baskets Are Full
The girls are in bed, and I'm getting ready for bed, so I decided it was time to fill their Easter baskets. Mia really wanted a new bucket and shovel, so I thought it would be cute to fill it with grass and use it as an Easter basket.
I filled it with Peeps, bite size pink heart sugar cookies made from felt and packaged in a cute pink polkadot container, Reese's Peanutbutter Eggs, and a fairy necklace I won over at Treasures for Tots .
For Hayden's basket, I made her felt Peeps since she's obviously too little to eat any candy. I already know Mia will take them over, but it's cute to put in her basket anyway.
As for the bunny Peeps, I made my own pattern. I quickly whipped them out tonight to they definitely could look better, LOL! Instead of sewing the eyes on, I glued these tiny little pompoms on them. I wouldn't recommend using them for kids still putting things in their mouths (like I said before, Mia will be taking them over), but for three year olds it's fine :) I can't wait to see Mia's face tomorrow morning when she sees it all. Have fun with your little bunnies in the morning too!
Internet Problems and New Projects
I have had the most annoying week with my internet hook up! Sorry I haven't been able to post anything lately. I have a few excuses-Mainly my internet hookup (my little sprint device pooped out) and second, Miss Hayden has been waking up about 5 times a night which means I'M waking up 5 times a night, so I've been exhausted. No, I feel like I've barely been hanging on by my finger nails, LOL! I HAVE however, been working on a few projects that I will share with you, AND I had a little photoshoot with my girls for Easter at the beach. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the shots I was hoping with my girls together, but I got some cute ones of Mia. The whole point was to get pictures of the girls in their matching Easter dresses, but oh well! Here are a few of my faves! I love how Mia looks like she's walking down the catwalk with her bunny basket. This water looked so inviting! It was a gorgeous day-it made me feel extra lucky to be in Puerto Rico for Easter.
I didn't make their dresses, but I DID make their matching hair flowers :) Sorry they aren't in color, but the flowers are fushia.
I love this picture of Mia, it's too bad Hayden (my little one) looks like she smelled something yucky ;-)
Now for my recent projects:
I just mailed off these felt food treats to a friend so she can put them in her daughter's Easter basket. (I'm also working on some goodies for Mia's Easter basket)
I finally got around to making Mia another upcycled t-shirt dress. I just love that Tootsie Pop Owl, and as you can see so does Mia! One of these days I'll get around to using my Sienna Dress pattern I bought from lilblue boo, but once again, I didn't use a pattern for this dress. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday tomorrow with your families and loved ones. I'll post pictures tomorrow of some Easter activities I've done with Mia this week, along with pictures of the treats left by the Easter Bunny :)
