Mermaid Gift Set Using Scraps from Mia's Dress

Cute huh?! I had some left over fabric from Mia's mermaid dress and put it to good use :) This gift set includes one burp cloth, a stuffwd giraffe, and a 3-6 month onesie with a mermaid applique. The giraffe has brown minky on the backside and tail. It did have a pink bow tied around her neck, but Mia pulled it off before I could get a picture of it.
I embellished the mermaid and neckline with pink rhinestones :) Rhinestones are the perfect touch to just about any project. Of course I had to make them into a flower for her hair! I also felt that her starfish necklace needed some bling. Just ignore the fact that my stitching around the mermaid isn't the best! She's really curvy so it was hard ;-)

Again, it's super cute. I think the stitching around the mermaid is perfect and adds to the appeal.

Falling in love with the Giraffe, the whole set is so charming. Love the little special creative touches you put on every thing you do.

so inspiring!! I made a similar set to give as a baby shower gift for a baby boy - so the pattern is of zoo animals instead of mermaids :) and my giraffe (which I tried an elephant, but wow, that didn't turn out exactly as planned - have to try that again another time) has ribbon for hair

I love the burp cloths!!

if I can ever ignore the cuteness of my boys to post the pics on my blog I will.

Keep up the BEAUTIFUL work!
