Spring Dress Made from Scrap Fabric

See this cute little girl?  She is the daughter of one of my customers. Her mom emailed me this picture and asked if I could make her a necklace to match this dress for her Easter basket. Her grandma made the dress.  I fell in love with it and decided to make my own version.  I have a lot of cute scrap fabric and this was the perfect way to put it to good use!  I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.  I made a side zipper so it would be easier to get on and off. I didn't have a pattern so I had to just figure things out as I began sewing. My serger made sewing this dress so quick and easy!  Some of my older readers might remember the jelly roll dress I made Mia last year. It was a big thorn in my side, but NOT this dress :) I love my serger, and I love this dress. Isn't it just perfect for Spring?!
