A Fun Craft to Keep Your Toddler Busy

I don't know about other moms out there, but I often feel guilty that our TV is on pretty much all day when we're not out and about. Mia is very artistic and loves working on projects whether it be painting (which is her favorite), baking, or playing with Play-Doh. The other day I busted out her Play-Doh and a baggy full of plastic rhinestones and told her to make me some cookies and to decorate them with rhinestone sprinkles. She was in HEAVEN! It kept her busy for quite awhile too, with the TV OFF! Success :) I gave her a plastic knife because she said she wanted to make hotdogs with sprinkles too, LOL, and wanted to be able to cut them...yes, the plate on the left is full of cut up hotdogs with sprinkles. She asked me to take out her tea party plates and kept bringing me plates of goodies out of Play-Doh. The nice part about getting your little one involved in working on their own projects, is that you can work on your own right next to them at your own table :) WIN WIN! Hope your little ones like this as much as Mia did! If any of you have other ideas for me please share! I'm trying to keep Mia busy throughout the day without watching so much TV.

Lexi would love this craft too! Matthew would probably try to eat the play-doh and the plastic rhinestones. LOL...Cute pics of Mia, she's creative like her Mom.

The whole Play-Doh thing is one of my granddaughter's favorite pastimes, too. She never seems to get tired of it.

Hi! I love your website. This is a great way to make playing with playdough more exciting. I host a link up party called TOT TUESDAYS every Tuesday where people share their recipes, crafts and activities for toddlers. I’ve also currently got a giveaway for a Mother Earth scarf at the moment. I hope you’ll stop by:
